Scott is a Partner at the firm and Head of our Cheltenham Office. He is a Solicitor and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executive (‘CILEx’), specialising in both residential and commercial conveyancing, as well as company and acquisitions law. Scott has over 10 years of experience in the property sector, handling a wide range of transactions for clients across the country. Scott joined Langley Wellington in 2011 and has since established himself as a trusted and pragmatic adviser, who can deliver effective solutions for complex and challenging cases.

Scott is also the firm’s Senior Responsible Officer under the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme, which means he oversees the development and implementation of the firm’s conveyancing policies and standards.

Scott is recognised for his excellent technical knowledge and his ability to advise on various aspects of property law, especially Stamp Duty Land Tax. He is often consulted by other property professionals for his expertise and guidance on difficult transactions.

Scott’s residential and commercial conveyancing work includes: sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties; remortgages; transfers of equity; shared ownership properties; new build purchases and sales; creation of management schemes; voluntary and compulsory first registrations of title; and adverse possession claims.

Scott’s company and acquisitions work includes: business sales and purchases; company formations; shareholders’ agreements; and partnership agreements.

Scott was the first member of CILEx to be granted Conveyancing Practice Rights (Reserved Instrument Activities) by CILEx in February 2015 and is an Associate Member of the Society for Licenced Conveyancers.
