Legal Cashier

An excellent opportunity to join a leading Law Firm.
We are looking for an experienced legal cashier to join our professional but friendly firm.

Experience required

  • Practical experience of Legal Accounts environment
  • Good working knowledge of Solicitor Accounts Rules
  • Knowledge of computers and legal software with good keyboard skills
  • Daily Client and Office account bank reconciliations
  • Dealing with general queries from solicitors, staff and clients
  • Posting all financial transactions
  • Dealing with Land Registry and HMCTS statements
  • Posting and executing conveyancing transactional payments
  • Recording, billing and monitoring of disbursement invoices received
  • Dealing with staff wages using Sage Payroll
  • Month and year ends

Remuneration
  • Salary is competitive and will be awarded dependent upon your experience
  • Working hours are 35 hours per week - full time, Monday to Friday
  • Holiday entitlement is 23 days + bank holidays

Receptionist– Admin and Data Entry

Full-time, Permanent

This is a full time position working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm with one hour taken for lunch. You will assist with the daily running of the office through various tasks. These include but are not limited to the following:-

  • Receptionist duties
  • Photocopying, faxing, binding and filing
  • Managing and distributing all incoming and outgoing post
  • Archiving Files
  • Document Retrieval
  • Data Entry

In-house training will be provided along with any external training that may be required, e.g. Receptionist Training and Customer Service Courses.

You would be expected to have an excellent telephone manner and have the ability to communicate with people at all levels internally and with Clients/Members of the Public. You will also have good computer skills and will be using internal systems for data entry etc. and Microsoft Office.

Paralegal - Education Lawyers, part of Langley Wellington LLP Solicitors

Education Lawyers which is located in Gloucester and Cheltenham are currently recruiting for a Paralegal to join our Education Team based in our Gloucester office.

This role will be to provide assistance to the Solicitor in the department in her delivery of legal advice and guidance to clients with regard to Education matters in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Duties include:-

  • Assist the Solicitor with the day to day running of files
  • Assist the Solicitor with the drafting of documents/correspondence
  • Assist the Solicitor with research
  • Assist the Solicitor with projects
  • Demonstrate a level of knowledge and skill commensurate with experience
  • Comply with the firm’s internal processes on time recording, billing, credit control and compliance
  • Any other reasonable duties commensurate with the grade and post

What you will need:-

  • A law degree or other relevant qualification/knowledge which may include experience of working in a legal role
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Always work in a cross functional manner as is necessary to meet the firm’s goals

Solicitor or Legal Executive Education Lawyers, part of Langley Wellington LLP Solicitors

Education Lawyers which is located in Gloucester and Cheltenham are currently recruiting for a Paralegal to join our Education Team based in our Gloucester office.

This highly-regarded and established firm based in Gloucester is looking to appoint a full-time/part time Education Solicitor or Education Legal Executive to their market-leading education law department.

As an Education Lawyer you will have from 1+ Years' PQE and be able to demonstrate detailed knowledge and technical expertise in dealing with complex education law caseloads, with particular knowledge of Special Educational Needs cases. The PQE above is a guideline only and does not preclude applications from those with more or less PQE.

The role will involve advising on a range of issues including, but not limited to, admissions, exclusions, bullying, and Special Educational Needs issues surrounding EHCP plans, funding and transport with possible tribunal representation.

You will have good solid academics and be able to work effectively as an education lawyer as part of the education law team. Clearly, you’ll need strong interpersonal and personal organisation skills and the ability to adhere to strict time limits. Our clients come from all walks of life, and the work is privately funded. You will need to be able to deal with a variety of individuals in order to provide the highest standards of client care.
