In Memoriam 

The purpose of this website page is to remember our colleague Jim Hickman who sadly passed away in February 2023.

The page has been kept on our website to acknowledge Jim’s career with our firm.

He worked on countless matters in all aspects of commercial and residential property and brought compassion, kindness and integrity over the 18 years with us having joined us in 2005.

Before joining us in 2005, Jim had practiced in numerous guises and throughout his 50 plus years as a qualified solicitor these included the following firms:

• Dunn Cook & Hickman;
• Pritchett Cook & Hickman;
• Cook & Hickman.

He assisted countless people and businesses with property related transactions with a sympathetic and professional pragmatic approach.

Jim always put people at the heart of all he did and outside his career as a Lawyer, he was a dedicated member of the community of Gloucester and beyond.  He worked with Round Table before joining Rotary in Gloucester and as President of Rotary in Gloucester, he arranged in addition to the normal fundraising events, two which particularly spring to mind, the “Loads of Roads” tour of the UK and Ireland in 1990 and the “Croagh Patrick Peak Challenge” in 2012 amongst countless other events.

Jim played a major part in our firm, and will be very sorely missed.
