Caroline is a family law specialist with over 15 years’ experience and a keen interest in Public Law Child Care. Caroline qualified as a Solicitor in 2008, having completed her studies at Lancaster University BA Hons and Chester Law School LLDip. Caroline is a Solicitor in our Child Care Law Department having joined Langley Wellington in 2009 and is an accredited member of the Law Society Children Panel to work with vulnerable people or children.

Caroline has considerable experience in representing families from a wide range of backgrounds and is committed to helping families through complex child law matters and disputes about children. Caroline’s Clients describe her as approachable and passionate to do the best for her Clients.

Family Court:

Gloucestershire County Council v A Mother and Ors(discharge of care order) [2017] EWFC B47 (27 July 2017): Represented the mother in proceedings attracting significant media attention as the local authority had wrongfully removed the child from the mother’s care whilst placed at home under a care order. The child was returned immediately.
 

High Court:

Gloucestershire County Council v JD & Ors [2018] EWHC 3553 (Fam) (07 December 2018): Representing the mother (with leading Counsel and Junior Counsel) in a rehearing of a fact find involving multiple injuries to an infant (brain injuries and fractures) (heard by Williams J)
